Lovely drive out in the country to this great pub. Best burger I've had for a long time accompanied by a nice cold pint and great service. Will be back with friends next time!

Bar & Restaurant Reviews on Tripadvisor

Sunday lunch here today reminded me of what a good Sunday lunch is all about: having the time to kick back and talk with each other, to talk with the kids (how often do we get to do that in this world of constant electronic distractions?), in a cosy comfortable place with friendly staff and over food worth waiting for.

Popped in for drink on the way back from lunch in Whitstable as heard it was under new management . Lovely welcome at bar with good selection of lagers and most importantly red wine! As we had eaten already didn't dine but looked at menu which was a nice selection

Accommodation Reviews on Tripadvisor

We stayed 2 nights, spacious room, comfortable beds, very clean. A little noisy from the outdoor patio/pub. There is parking on site and a lovely garden. We had a delicious dinner there and the breakfast was excellent. Reasonable drive to Dover. Walking distance to a lovely public footpath.

We booked four rooms at the Rose and Crown as we were attending a family wedding at the Old Kent Barn. We were made to feel very welcome, the rooms were spacious, spotless and very comfortable, as the venue was a 10 minute drive and the ceremony was at 2pm we were allowed in to our rooms early so that we could get changed and freshen up, which was really helpful. Breakfast was from 8.30 -10.00, freshly cooked to order and with plenty of tea, coffee, fruit juice and toast. I have no reservations in recommending the Rose and Crown if you're looking for an overnight stay in the area

This pub is in the middle of the picturesque village, you drive between the pub and the building where the rooms are situated into an extensive car park. The room we stayed in was a very good size with a six foot bed. We had dinner, the menu was good and varied, and well priced. The hosts were very friendly and helpful.
